It’s the first anniversary of TfSE’s Centre of Excellence

One year ago today, we launched our Centre of Excellence, a digital space exclusively for local transport authorities (LTAs) in the South East.

Initiated by government and built in collaboration with our LTAs, the Centre of Excellence has been designed to enhance the capability and capacity of local transport officers, providing support and resources in developing transport infrastructure in their areas.

Since the launch, we have:

• Signed up over 250 users, primarily from local transport officers
• Enabled over 300 resources for users
• Posted 20 case studies
• Hosted 35 webinars
• Ran two capability surveys shaping future support requirements

We’ve worked closely with local transport officers to provide trusted resources and content for our purpose-built Centre of Excellence, supporting them with tools, insights and national guidance in one place, exclusively for them.

Highlights include:

• 8-part webinar series on business case development.
• Modelling 101 blog + follow-up session.
• Guidance on development consent orders (DCOs), supplemented by our own local authority case studies.
• Climate readiness resource for LTAs.

These resources are all available to our LTA officers on our TfSE Centre of Excellence platform — tailored to the needs of its users.
