Transport for the South East has become an event partner in an annual exhibition showcasing new ideas and technology to transform transport.
The first Innovation and Technology in Transport Hub event will be staged in 2020. It will bring together a wide range of suppliers and operators of commercial vehicles and public transport under one roof to collaborate and showcase latest developments in energy efficient, low emission transport and related technologies, data and infrastructure.
As an event partner at ITT Hub 2020, TfSE will take a leading role in the conference and seminar programme that will take place at Farnborough International exhibition and conference centre in Hampshire.
Transport for the South East is the third event partner to pledge their support to ITT Hub 2020 since the event was officially launched in October, joining the Low Carbon Vehicle Partnership (LowCVP) and the Renewable Energy Association (REA)
Mark Griffin, CEO of event organiser Binswood Media said: ‘With two major airports, five major ports and no less than 22 strategic corridors in the region, the South East is a transport hub connecting UK businesses to the rest of the world. TfSE’s involvement in ITT Hub 2020, and the newly formed advisory board that we have been encouraged to set up to help shape the event, is both very welcome and timely.’
TfSE Chairman Keith Glazier said: ‘The South East is a major driver of the UK economy and two of the eight high-growth sectors in our region are transport logistics and low-carbon environmental technology. So this partnership is an ideal opportunity to share our vision for transport in the region’.
Innovation & Technology in Transport Hub (ITT Hub) will take place on 13-14 May 2020.
