More than 200 leaders from business, government and transport will gather for an event that puts the spotlight on how the South East’s transport network can power growth and opportunity and improve the lives of the travelling public.
The conference, Connecting the South East, takes place at Farnborough International on 8 May and will bring together professionals with an insight into how the region’s transport can evolve to keep the South East’s economy strong and transform journeys for its people and businesses.
Organised by Transport for the South East in partnership with Essential Infrastructure, the event will also see the publication of TfSE’s economic connectivity review – an analysis of the South East transport economy and the first step on its path to a comprehensive transport strategy for the region.
Invitations for the event have gone to transport operators and providers, to infrastructure experts and to leading figures representing the travelling public, South East business and government. Speakers and delegates will discuss the priorities for the future of transport in this nationally and internationally-connected region and the role that a sub-national transport body, Transport for the South East, should play in its future.
The event is sponsored by Balfour Beatty, Costain, Elgin and Jacobs.
