The consultation on the draft Strategic Investment Plan (SIP) is now closed and we are working our way through the responses in preparation for taking a revised draft to our Partnership Board for approval in November.
The 12-week consultation saw more than eight thousand visits to the consultation website, 429 ‘engaged’ visitors who either completed the survey or asked a question. In total, 638 consultation responses were submitted.
From an initial review of responses there are emerging themes around environmental impact of schemes within the SIP, a request for a greater focus on active travel interventions, improvement to public transport across the region including greater integration between modes and more information on costs and funding of the interventions within the plan.
For a full update you can view a presentation on the consultation responses and the associated communications campaign as given at our recent Partnership Board meeting.
